The procedures to be followed to get a New Embossed Number Plate are as follows
1. Go to hsenp.dotm.gov.np and fill the online form.
2. Go to the designated transport office and pay the prescribed fee.
3. Submit the required documents mentioned below along with the online form to the concerned transport office.
- Online form with photo only if the vehicle is owned by an individual:
- Online form with seal. If the vehicle belongs to the office or company).
- If the vehicle is in the name of the government, a letter with the office's seal:
- Revenue receipt.
a. Two-wheeler = Rs. 2500
b. Three-wheeler = Rs. 2900
c. Small and medium four-wheeler Rs. 3200
d. Large vehicle = Rs. 3600
- Copy of citizenship (only if the vehicle is owned by an individual)
- Copy of company registration certificate or Pan Vat letter (only if the vehicle is in the name of the company)
- In case of a vehicle purchased through banking, a letter of consent from the concerned bank.
- Copy of the Blue Book containing details of the vehicle owner and vehicle.
- Document certifying that the vehicle tax for the current financial year has been paid.
- Copy of the original registration certificate (Bluebook) of the vehicle.
4. Prepare all the documents and submit them to the office for verification. You will be informed via SMS for biometrics.
5. At the specified time, you will have to go to the designated traffic office for biometrics and for the installation of number plates on the vehicle.
6. After completing all the procedures, the embossed number should be recorded in the Bluebook.
